Over the years the North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership and its partners have taken great pride in hosting MassLIFT-AmeriCorps members. Past participants have been able to meet critical community needs for land protection while also gaining valuable experience to become future leaders within the field of conservation. Originally a pilot program of Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, this maturing program has strategically spun-off and re branded as TerraCorps in order to ensure it's long-term sustainability. As one of the original service sites hosts when MassLift was still in its infancy as a program, the NQRLP will continue to host Americorps members who now join us through TerraCorps. Our inter-organizational collaborations will help to promote and create a shared vision where land is the foundation of health and well-being for all people and every community in perpetuity within our region and beyond.

TerraCorps: Stewarding and Conserving Our Shared Landscape for Generations to Come
Meet NQRLP's class of 2018 TerraCorps-AmeriCorps member!
Michael is from many places and is proud to call Massachusetts his 9th state. He recently finished his undergraduate career at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and is grateful to be the Regional Collaboration Coordinator for NQRLP for the 2018-2019 service year. He is looking forward to dedicating his time to supporting land conservation within the Greater Quabbin Region and building meaningful connections with the land and the people who steward it from one generation to the next.
TerraCorps supports full-time AmeriCorps members who carry out their service over 11 months (1,700 hour positions) with one of our partner organizations located across Massachusetts. Members receive a living allowance, education award, valuable professional development, and additional AmeriCorps benefits. Americorps members meanwhile help to build upon the capacity of their service sites by providing education or training opportunities to individuals and by coordinating meaningful volunteer opportunities for community members.
We would like to recognize the following organizations for their commitment towards helping to ensure a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for the commonwealth of Massachusetts through their partnership with TerraCorps:
